My Business Partner Project is being implemented within the ENHANCER Project which is funded by the European Union and conducted by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in coordination with the Directorate General of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye aims to the integration of Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) into social and economic life with various training and workshop activities.

 

The specific objectives which are aimed by the project are listed as follows;

-Making short-lived businesses owned by SuTPs and which are a significant threat to the stable economy, long-lasting,

-Making law statements that contain heavy language understandable, 

-It aims to provide information about the grant incentives to provide a solution to the financing problem in the enterprises belonging to the SuTPs.

30 Syrian entrepreneurs/entrepreneur candidates under temporary protection and 20 mentor university students regardless of nationality will be working within the scope of the Project. The project contains 6 weeks of training activities and 4 weeks of workshop activities.

The practices to be carried out within the scope of 4-week workshop activities, which are planned to be 2 hours once a week, will be mostly on case studies. In this context, participants will be given problems to work in teams (e.g. audit process,  during bilateral communication, a meeting, during the selling process, etc.) and animations (role-play activities) will be carried out on how operations will be provided within the scope of these problems. With these role-play activities, it will be possible to consolidate the knowledge by putting the training into practice.

An employment fair will also be organized within the scope of the project, and thanks to this fair, employers and employees will be brought together. Project participants will evaluate the project by participating in the fair, where the sectors will also be introduced.

The potential contributions of the project to the participants are as follows:

• Participants will have the opportunity to develop/implement their entrepreneurial ideas thanks to the training they will receive on entrepreneurship.

• Mentors will be able to strengthen their English language skills since some of the training will be held in English.

• Since the project processes are generally related to social life, the awareness level of the participants towards the outside world will have increased and the awareness of volunteerism will have established, especially for the mentors.

• With the activities to be carried out within the project's scope, the participants will be instilled with treat equally and approach tolerantly to each member of society.

• Participants will strengthen their self-expression skills with the training and workshop activities to be carried out.

• With the motivation of being a good team member, which is one of the most important requirements of the age, "the ability to work together" will be strengthened.

• With the training certificates to be given to the participants at the end of the project, the CVs of the participating students will be strengthened and the project will be an awareness tool for the participants.

• Within the framework of the “Employment Fair” to be held at the end of the project, it will be possible for participants  to strengthen their network.

All of the activities will take place at the campus of our university in Avcilar, and the participants who participated in all activities will be given certificates within the scope of the project.
