Entrepreneurship Themed Focus Group Workshop was Organised

My Business Partner Project which is carried out by Istanbul Gelisim University, is being implemented within the ENHANCER Project, funded by the European Union and conducted by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) in coordination with the Directorate General of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye completed its focus group study activity on the date of 4 September 2023.

Following the completion of the training and workshop activities, the workshop, moderated by Prof. Mosier, Training Coordinator, with a total of 6 participants, 3 of whom were already entrepreneurs and 3 of whom were entrepreneur candidates, consisting of Syrians under temporary protection status, lasted approximately 2 hours. Within the scope of the study, the entrepreneurship motivation of the project target group, entrepreneurship in Turkey, the intellectual background of entrepreneurship, SWOT were discussed and the participants' thoughts in this field were revealed. The study outputs were reported in Turkish, English, and Arabic and added to the website.

With this study, the motivations of Syrians under temporary protection on entrepreneurship and the risks and opportunities of entrepreneurship activities were shared with the public. The study is also intended to serve as a guide for policymakers on the issues perceived as risks.
